Amazon AR Packaging Experience
Interactive packaging that transforms billions of Amazon boxes into engaging brand experiences through augmented reality.
Amazon ships billions of packages annually—each representing an untapped opportunity for meaningful brand connection. We partnered with Amazon to reimagine packaging as an interactive canvas, developing AR experiences that transform ordinary boxes into memorable brand moments. Our solution demonstrates how emerging technology can scale brand engagement without requiring expensive hardware, reaching customers wherever they are.

The challenge was ambitious: activate billions of Amazon packages as brand touchpoints while maintaining operational simplicity. Our team developed an end-to-end AR packaging system, including the Amazon Augmented Reality app and interactive box designs. The inaugural Halloween experience invited customers to draw jack-o'-lantern faces on printed pumpkin outlines, then scan a QR code to see their creations come to life in 3D. This approach validated a scalable model for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling—proving that smartphones alone can deliver premium interactive experiences at massive scale.
The project established a new paradigm for packaging innovation, where every delivery becomes a potential brand moment. By reducing technical barriers to near-zero—requiring only a smartphone camera—we created a blueprint for democratized brand experiences. The success has informed Amazon's broader packaging strategy and demonstrated how thoughtful AR integration can drive customer engagement without disrupting existing logistics infrastructure. This work exemplifies the intersection of creative strategy and scalable technology implementation.
